Tim Bradley

Tim began working the circuit in the early 90‘s with cover bands and during this time started studying with drum maestro David Jones for 3 years. This increased his understanding and love of Jazz, Latin and Funk. In the late 90′s he started performing and recording with Tania Bowra.

Around this time he traveled to India where he was exposed to contemporary, folk and classical Indian music. During this experience he started to learn the tablas. Tim has performed for theatre including the Burt Bacharach Show, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, Flamenco Dreaming (a fusion of dance and music).

Between 2000-2004 Tim toured around Australia and beyond, including some time in Portugal playing with Mistura Fina. More recently, he has played with popular Sydney bands Glass, So Frito and Watussi. He has also done TV show appearances, and advertisements.

Tim has played at major events including:

  • The Adelaide Fringe Festival,
  • the Speigeltent (Melbourne/Sydney),
  • The Hunter Valley, Bellingen Jazz and Global Festivals,
  • Woodford Festival and
  • Sydney Opera house.

Tim is currently playing/recording for various session work, and also tutoring/running workshops. He plays with Waiting for Guinness, On The Stoop, Edwina Blush, Angie Contini, Gary Johns Band and a number of upcoming projects.
